“Give me a hug,” Karla said when I arrived at St. Joseph Catholic Church for her wedding. I know it’s going to be a good day when the bride hugs me. It means I won’t have trouble photographing an intimate day from inside her world–which is right where I like to be. So I was there when David’s sister handed her a letter. Through my lens, I saw her smile, and blink back tears as she read a letter that began, “Before you walk down the aisle, know…”
The words ran to the bottom of the page, listing all the things he wanted her to know before they committed their lives to each other.
After the ceremony, we drove to David’s alma mater, St. Ignatius, for some photos with their wedding party. Next, we headed over to my favorite grassy field for a romantic photo shoot with just Karla and David.
From there, we went to George Clifton Barn for an elegantly rustic reception with their families and friends.
“Before you walk down the aisle, know that I see the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world.”
–David
Congratulations Karla and David! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness with each other.
