I met Lorien and her bridesmaids at the Wyndham where they were getting ready. Everyone was talking at once; flowers, shoes and jewelry covered every surface, and curling irons were brandished in three corners of the room. Lorien emerged from a flurry of blue taffeta, white satin and flowers in a stunning, figure-hugging dress that looked like it was made for her. But the best part was her mother’s face, and the way she teared up when she looked at Lorien.
Her dad had to take a few deep breaths before he walked her down the aisle, and Pete couldn’t seem to stop smiling the whole day. After a beautiful ceremony at St. John Cantius church, we stopped by a friend’s house on the lake to take some photos. Then we headed to the reception at Windows on the River. It was a perfect day.
