Ilana and Andrew’s wedding at the Global Center for Health Innovation was a gorgeous affair with allll the flowers. I’ll admit, when Ilana told me the wedding would be “outside between two buildings” I was a little concerned. I had photographed weddings inside the Global Center for Health Innovation, but not outside. There was nothing but a field outside…right? I should have known better. Pieter Bouterse and his team were on it. They used their magical florist powers to create a stunning, lush ceremony site with an exquisite flower-filled chuppah and an elevated walkway for Ilana to walk down the aisle.
Way back in 2019, when I delivered her sister, Galia’s wedding photos, their mom asked what I was doing next September 3rd, because their daughter, Ilana was getting married. “Working with you!” I replied. This family had been so lovely throughout the whole process, I was happy to come back for their second daughter’s wedding.
Of course, Covid pushed that date to 2021. And then to 2022. But some clients are worth the wait. When the day finally came, I met up with Ilana and her bridesmaids at the Hilton for getting ready photos. Her mother, grandmothers, and sister were there, along with her best friends. And once everyone was dressed, her dad and brother stopped by too.
We went to the 9th Street Pier for photos, then headed back to the Global Center for Health Innovation to sign the ketubah and get married. It was a gorgeous day, full of love and happiness. Scroll down to see some photos of Ilana and Andrew’s Center for Global Health Innovation wedding.
