I was delighted to photograph the very first wedding at the Metropolitan at the Nine. With it's modern architecture and multiple areas for luxury weddings, I knew it would quickly become an iconic spot for fashion forward brides planning luxury weddings. And of course, the best part is the repurposed bank vault on the bottom floor. During the portrait part of the wedding day, I decided to back light this bride and her new husband. The way the light bounced off the pressed tin ceiling and the vault door, illuminating their profiles as they embraced, was magical.
